Background
EMicroScribe, Inc. teamed with Immersion, Inc. to deploy  a marketing strategy  and introduce the Microscribe products to industry in 1999 and since has achieved a  US Distributorship, marketing to all 48 US states and portions of Canada. Today, EMicroScribe offers a comprehensive line of hardware and software developed to meet the needs of the reverse engineering and metrology markets. From the simple, affordable solution in the G2 series products to the high accuracy X series targeted towards metrology and inspection, EmicroScribe teams with several sophisticated software tools to complete the solution.  These products range from Rhinoceros, to HighRES and Verisurf.  The end result is a complete solution that allows our customer to be both reactive and productive in developing the CAD models they desire and inspecting to the desired tolerances from entry-level to the most advanced in the CAD of their choice.

Strategy
Reverse engineering is the process of tracing a physical mold, model or part for the purpose of measurement, inspection or recreation as a CAD model. The resulting CAD geometry is reviewed, modified and ultimately re-manufactured or exported for future analytical applications. By allowing the customer to quickly and accurately collect this information from a physical model, the user is able to create or inspect efficiently.
