Thank you for your interest in using the MicroScribe and its accessories for your studies.  At Emicroscribe, we have been on the cutting edge of providing digitizing solutions for various types of research for many years. Past researchers have used the MicroScribe to gather landmark points for statistical analysis.  Recently there has been an interest in using the RSI Laser attachment for gathering point cloud data for statistical studies and animation renderings of fossils.

Most recently we have discovered a way to collect ordered points in Rhino and export them to a excel spread sheet labeled in the order you took them.  This give you the ability to sort these points in the order you want them and recognize each point. Giving you a great tool for visualzation while taking your points.  It can also be used for some basic analysis.
